I love taking pictures, the every day, the mundane, the big, the fun, the celebrating, even the hard. Images I want to remember. So, this year, I’m documenting my everyday. A photo a day for my FB/IG and then writing the stories of each on my blog weekly.
Sunday night my sweet bestie hosted a Favorite Things Christmas Party for our Plexus team. It was so fun and we all left with three unique favorite things from our friends! I got Mary Kay eye makeup remover, Anthro volcano candle and the Magnolia Story book! #triplewin. We met through work and also went to church together and have been friends for close to 15 years.
Her littles are bonus for me, and we celebrated Christmas a little early! 🙂 Their Aunt Amy met Jesus in 2006, I wish so much they knew her, because she would have been such a fun aunt!
Monday night I met a friend for happy hour/early dinner (eating at the “Luby’s hour” means great deals on good food at favorite restaurants) and after all day in heels, I decided to go in my new Adidas kicks! I picked these up when shopping with my college besties. They have some kind of cloud foam insoles, and I am a fan!! They will be on repeat around here!
Tuesday night was very busy around my house. This picture pretty much sums it up. And, a certain pup I believe is pretty glad I am free of the school desk chain!
Wednesday night I finished up all of my wrapping and finishing with yarn bows. Next year I think I will get plan paper and a couple of colors of yarn to tie on my presents. I loved the way it looks! Also, I’d like a scarf out of this yarn, who knows how to knit?!?
Thursday night I was planning to be in Vegas at the National Finals Rodeo
, but a couple of weeks ago decided I wasn’t going to go. I definitely missed going, but certainly have gotten to the point in my life where there is no FOMO (fear of missing out) and a week of nights at home, with no plans and not doing much was SO good for me! Thursday night I started the 4th, and last, book in the Winter Street series I’ve been reading since Thanksgiving break.
And, I also watched the NFR from home on my couch. Maybe I’ll return in 2018!
I’m never one to have headphones in my ears at all times, and really only use headphones when I’m jogging and on a flight if I remember them. But, Friday I put in my headphones and turned on a podcast while I worked on a work project. One of the episodes I listened to was all about Hallmark Christmas Movies, which have also been on at my house all week, so I knew most of the ones they were discussing. The one I hadn’t seen happened to be on Friday night, so I watched it since I was home! 🙂
While at home Friday night a friend from out of town called and invited me to lunch on Saturday with some friends and we ended up all hanging out most of the day! It was super fun time and an unexpected treat to get to see her! We went to the beach this summer and I treasure time with this friend! Another great holiday Saturday
with a bestie! Also, if you notice some disco lights in this picture it’s courtesy of the Party Rocker
, a light machine and bluetooth speaker in one, and this would certainly be a fun addition to any home!
This year is going quick! Here we are in December and I’ve nearly made this year of daily photos and weekly posts!
Thank you for reading, and would love for you to stay in touch!
